Join Lauren - the scent sorceress and maker behind Slow Burn Handmade Candles - for a cozy, hands-on crafting experience at Beguiled Books. You’ll create your own custom-scented candle and a custom car freshener. This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves beautiful scents, DIY projects, or simply wants a relaxing creative break surrounded by books and good company.

Class Size: 10 participants + 1 instructor
Price: $60/person
Participants will receive everything they need to create two custom-scented items:
One 5 oz custom candle with a predesigned label
One custom car freshener with a predesigned label

Class Format:
11:45am: Please arrive early to check in and get settled before we start at 12pm
12:00 PM: Welcome & Scent Selection
We’ll kick things off by exploring fragrance options and choosing your custom blend. You’ll prep your candle vessel and label while we talk through the basics of candle making.
12:45 PM: Candle Making
Once your scent is ready, you’ll pour your candle. We’ll aim to have all candles poured by 1 PM so they have time to cure before the end of class.
1:00 PM: Car Freshener Making
While your candle cures, you’ll create your car freshener using the same - or a new - scent blend. This is a fun, quick project that pairs perfectly with your candle.
1:30 PM: Shopping & Browsing Time
With both projects complete and your candle finishing its cure, enjoy some relaxed time to browse and shop around Beguiled Books. Explore new reads, pick up gifts, or simply enjoy the cozy atmosphere.
2:00 PM: Wrap‑Up
Your candle will be ready to take home along with your freshly made car freshener.
